A day’s walking tour could ideally start
with the cathedral of San Lorenzo immediately
followed by that of Santa
Maria Del Fiore – the home of the famous Duomo -
just a few minutes east of the Ambasciatori Hotel Florence. This magnificent basilica is Florence’s
most distinguished edifice, identified by the great orange dome
designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, master architect and sculptor.
In
the afternoon, a stroll south to the Uffizi Gallery could
be in order, one of the world’s most remarkable collections
of original masterpieces by renaissance artists such as Michelangelo
and Botticelli. The gallery also offers a most spectacular view
of the river and Ponte Vecchio.
Alternatively,
if by that point in the day a rest in the area of the latter is
more to your taste, you’ll
find a cluster of traditional restaurants, bars and trattorias.
How to Find Us
By train to the Ambadciatori Hotel Firenze, simply take a right at Firenze Santa Maria
Novella and cross the road! If coming in by air a taxi is the most
convenient form of transport from Firenze Airport, alternatively
there is a bus service to Santa Maria Novella Station. We regret
that we do not operate a Shuttle Service.
